1 CE Hour

Members Only: Free

Instructor: Tai Jenkins, M.Ed, MS, ITP, MCCAT, CLDP

This course is designed for Texas commercial property and casualty agents, brokers, and agency personnel. It bridges the gap between statutory compliance and daily professional practice by examining the core principles of insurance ethics alongside the specific regulatory mandates of the Texas Labor Code.

Participants will explore the unique fiduciary duties owed to commercial clients and carriers, examine complex commercial conflicts of interest—such as compensation transparency and Agent of Record (AOR) transitions—and review unfair trade practices under Chapter 541. Through real-world scenario analysis, attendees will gain actionable strategies to resolve grey-area dilemmas, mitigate errors and omissions (E&O) risks, and uphold the highest standards of integrity in the Texas commercial marketplace.

*Per Texas Insurance Department regulations, you may not duplicate a course and receive credit within the same licensing period.  Please refer to the course title and number and to your CE transcript at www.sircon.com to verify you are not duplicating a course.
