We will look at the homeowners' policy and how it addresses those items our Personal Lines Insured’s have, called “toys”. These can range from boats, children’s electric toy cars, golf carts to drones; and many other items. Does the ISO homeowners insurance policy provide coverage? Does your insured believe they have coverage and don’t give it a second thought? Do you, that agent/broker believe there is coverage? We will discover that IF there is coverage, the property coverage may be different than the liability coverage.

Our personal lines clients depend upon us to place proper coverages as a major part of their risk management strategy. The property and liability coverages we place on their behalf may ultimately stand between them and bankruptcy in the event of a large loss. This presentation will address the exposures our personal lines clients have which are not well-handled by their unendorsed ISO Homeowners and Personal Auto Policies. A review of endorsements available in these programs will remind the participant that, as all clients are unique, it is routinely necessary to discuss the need for and availability of these very important coverage enhancements. The presentation will conclude with a review of the Personal Umbrella/Excess Liability coverage needs of the personal lines client and a discussion of coverages currently available to meet those needs.
