This class will explore the residential side of this insurance marketplace, providing insurance for the unit owner.  The students will explore certain critical definitions that will help them understand how the Condominium Association is created and works.  The student will see how there are two policies at work during a claim, the master policy and the unit owner’s policy.  We will review the difference between a condo and a townhouse.  They will discover the necessity of securing and understanding the Association's Declaration as well as the By-laws, to know what a condo unit is, what the unit owner is required to insure, as well as what are general common elements and limited common elements, and how these may need to be insured.  Coverage found within the condo policy form ISO HO 00 06 05 11 is used to review coverage.
